LOCAL HELP, SHARED PRIORITIES

Support that fits
your situation.

Personal representatives & families

We help the personal representative, family, heirs and other professionals stay connected around property tasks and the plan established with the attorney.

Out-of-town personal representatives

Managing an estate from another city or state? We help out-of-town personal representatives arrange local property access, providers and preparation, with updates that keep you connected while you’re away.

Attorneys & estate professionals

We support the attorney’s preparation for hearings by organizing property details, repair estimates and sale updates for their review. The attorney directs the legal process and any court submissions.

starts with
your priorities.

MEET KEVIN · OREGON BROKER, EXP REALTY LLC

A local connection.
A practical partner.

Portland Probate Service is led by Kevin Donahue, a licensed Oregon real estate broker with eXp Realty LLC who helps personal representatives navigate the practical side of an estate that includes a home.

His approach starts with your goals. From connecting you with estate sale specialists to coordinating property preparation, Kevin helps bring the right people together so you can focus on the decisions that matter.

Our role is to support the plan you establish with your attorney. Legal questions stay with your attorney; property logistics and professional connections are where we can help.

A LITTLE CLARITY HELPS

Questions you
may be carrying.

Here are a few good places to start. For your specific situation, reach out and we’ll talk through the practical next steps.

Ask Kevin a question
Is your support really free?

Yes. Our consultations, practical guidance, coordination and professional referrals are free, with no obligation to hire Kevin for a property sale. Real estate representation and third-party services you choose to hire have separate agreements and fees. Any home improvement financing is subject to the provider’s terms.

Do I have to sell the home to get help?

No. You can reach out for practical guidance and professional referrals even if you haven’t decided whether to sell, or if a sale isn’t part of the estate’s plan.

Are you a law firm or part of the court?

No. Portland Probate Service is an independent consultation and referral service, not a law firm or court office. We do not provide legal advice, file probate paperwork or replace your attorney. Your attorney guides legal decisions; we help with practical property needs.

Can you help with a home that needs work?

Yes. We can connect you with repair, cleaning and improvement professionals. You can also explore a market listing in the home’s current condition or potential cash offers. For eligible projects, a pay-at-closing improvement program may be an option, subject to provider terms.

What if I’m managing the estate from out of town?

Start by sharing the property location and what needs to be handled locally. Kevin can discuss available professional connections and a practical coordination plan for the home. The scope of any provider’s work is agreed with that provider.

How do we choose an asking price?

Kevin can review recent comparable sales, the home’s condition and current competition to discuss an asking price. A formal appraisal is a separate service.

How can we keep the family informed?

Agree on a primary contact and how property updates will be shared. Ask your attorney to clarify decision-making authority and legal questions.

What should I have ready for our first conversation?

A general sense of the property’s location and condition, the help you’re looking for, and any timing priorities is enough to begin. You do not need to send court documents or other sensitive information through this website.

LET’S TAKE THE NEXT STEP TOGETHER
